Heard Mr.RVG.Hariharabalan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayananan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying for a direction upon the respondents to grant permission to conduct a demonstration against a particular industry in the locality, which, according to the petitioner and other residents of the area is causing pollution.

3. In this regard, the petitioner has made a demonstration in Chennai and now he seeks to make a demonstration in Cuddalore. In this regard, a representation was given to the District Collector on 23.03.2015.

4. Considering the submissions made and taking note of the fact that the representation is pending before the authority, there will be a direction to the first respondent to consider his representation of the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, after assessing the entire situation and also calling for an appropriate report from the third respondent. Orders in this regard shall be passed within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
