ORDER
The writ of prohibition has been instituted to prohibit the Respondents from insisting on payment of US$ 1000 and consequentially allow the Petitioner to participate in Weight Lifting in International Competitions, National Competitions, State, Interstate, Zonal Railways and any other competition since the Petitioner's ban period has exceeded the 2 years period stipulated as punishment as per the anti-doping policy.
2. The relief as such sought for in the present writ petition lost its relevance on account of efflux of time. The International, National and Zonal sports events are to be conducted strictly in accordance with the rules in force and the Court cannot grant any concession or otherwise, which is otherwise in violation of the rules in force. 2/4
3. The fact remains that the writ petition has been filed in the year 2014 and now eight years lapsed.
4. If any grievance exists as of now to the petitioner, he is at liberty to approach the competent authorities in the manner known to law.
