Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to approve the appointment given to the petitioner to the post of Pump Operator in Kakkoochi Panchayat, Udagai Panchayat Union, Nilgiri District by the third respondent Panchayat in Resolution No.52, dated 19.10.2012.

The petitioner is the legal representative of Thiru.Muthusamy, who worked as Motor Operator in Kakkoochi Panchayat in the district of Nilgiris. The father of the petitioner died in harness on 25.07.2012. The petitioner submitted an application for compassionate appointment. The Panchayat passed a resolution on 19.10.2012 resolving to give him appointment. The resolution was forwarded to the first respondent for approval. The matter is now pending on the file of the first respondent.

2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application submitted by the petitioner for compassionate https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

appointment in the light of the Resolution No.52 dated 19.10.2012 on the file of the third respondent. Such exercise shall be carried out within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
