Respondent Prayer : Judges Summons filed under Order XIV Rule 8 of OS Rules read Section 12 of Guardians and Wards Act, 1890, to grant interim custody of the minor child namely Nuha Alima (born on 03.09.2021) to the Applicants for the period from 23.05.2026 to 30.05.2026 in connection with the birth anniversary remembrance (Fathea prayer) of the deceased father of the minor child, Summer Vacation and Bakridh Festival - 2026, and consequently direct the respondent to hand over and receive the minor child accordingly at the residence of the applicants situated at No.1, Bajanai Kovil Street, Royapuram, Chennai - 600 013. ORDER

Heard Mr.G.Anandaraj, learned Counsel for the applicants and Mrs.P.V.Rajeswari, learned Counsel for the respondent.

2. Parties are Muslims. The grand-parents are the applicants. They seek interim custody for a period of 3 days so that the child can spend Bakrid and two days thereafter with them.

3. Going through the records, it is clear that on 28.03.2025, this Court permitted the grand-parents to have custody of the child during the holy day of Ramzan. Following the said order, the grand-parents can take custody of the child at 10.00 A.M from the residence of the respondent. They shall drop the child back at the residence of the respondent by 6.00 P.M.

4. This application is ordered.
