ORDER

Heard Mr.G.Pugazhenthi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader on behalf of the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks to quash the proceedings of the second respondent in and by which the second respondent had rejected the request made by the petitioner to grant permission to conduct cultural programmes during Pongal festival.

3. This Court is of the view that the respondent-Police is the best authority to decide the law and order situation prevailing in a particular area and this Court cannot super impose any conditions. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned order passed by the second respondent. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. However, the dismissal of the writ petition will not prevent the petitioner from approaching the higher officials or police in a manner known to law. No costs.
