Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the letter of 5th respondent bearing AG (A&E)/PEN P26/12612021/4/R2612021/443 dated 02.08.2012 issued to the petitioner by the 6th respondent on 30.12.2013 and quash the same and to direct the 1st respondent to grant minimum pension to the petitioner extending the benefit granted in G.O.Ms.No.756, Revenue Department dated 17.08.1993 and Governments Letter No.27119/Service 8(2)07-9 Revenue Department dated 20.09.2008 within a stipulated period of time as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The learned Additional Government Pleader furnished a copy of the letter issued by the Tahsildar, Sriperumbudur dated 21.06.2022, stating that the case of the writ petitioner has taken up for consideration and as per G.O.Ms.No.756, Revenue Department dated 17.08.1993, necessary proposals are in preparation and all such pension proposals will be submitted before the Principal Accountant General of Tamil Nadu, within a period of one week.

2. In view of the fact that the pension proposals are under process and it will be submitted within a period of one week to the Accountant General of Tamil Nadu, the 5th respondent/ Accountant General of Tamil Nadu is directed to consider the proposal to be submitted by the Tahsildar and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

3. With this direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
