ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to complete the investigation and initiate appropriate action as per law, on the complaint dated 12.08.2016, in Ref. C.No. 3664/CCB/Visitors/2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent Nos. 1 & 2.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint dated 12.08.2016 given by the petitioner, petition enquiry is pending before the Sub Inspector of Police, EDF-1, Team-II, Central Crime Branch, Chennai.

4. Under such circumstances, the Sub Inspector of Police, EDF-1, Team-II, Central Crime Branch, Chennai is directed to expeditiously conduct enquiry and follow the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttarpradesh and Others reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
