This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to set aside and modify the condition imposed in Crl.M.P.No.1 of 2026 in Crl.A.No.255 of 2026 dated 25.02.2026 on the file of the learned XVII Additional District and Sessions Court, Chennai.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks extension of time for complying with the condition imposed in Crl.M.P.No.1 of 2026 in Crl.A.No.255 of 2026, to deposit 20% of the compensation amount to the credit of S.T.C.No.790 of 2022 within a period of 60 days.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. Considering the reasons stated in the petition and facts and circumstances of the case, this Criminal Original Petition is partly allowed and a further period of two months time is granted to comply with the condition imposed by the learned XVII Additional District and Sessions Court, Chennai, in Crl.M.P.No.1 of 2026 in Crl.A.No.255 of 2026, dated 25.02.2026, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which, the order passed in Crl.M.P.No.1 of 2026 in Crl.A.No.255 of 2026 shall stand automatically cancelled.
