Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider and dispose of the petitioner representation dated 10.08.2021 for uploading the petitioner property details and give compute patta and chitta for the property situated S.No.167/1 in Valapadi Village, measuring to an extent of 3.13.00 ares in Old Patta No.60 within stipulated time.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2021 for uploading the petitioner property details and give computer Patta and Chitta for the property in S.No.167/1 in Valapadi Village, measuring to an extent of 3.13.00 ares in Old Patta No.60 within stipulate time as fixed by this Court.

The case of the petitioner is that the property in S.No.167/1 in Valapadi Village measuring to an extent of 3.13.00 ares in Patta No.60 was originally belonged to him and Patta No.60 was also issued in his name by the Tahsildar, Sankarapuram, dated 21.06.2011 and other Revenue records stands in his name issued by the Village Administrative Officer, Sankarapuram Taluk, dated 22.06.2011. While that being so, after corrections made in Tamil Land Scheme, his property details and the name of the petitioner were not found in the Register maintained by the Taluk Office, Vellimalai Taluk and the same was also not uploaded in the official web site of the Tamil Nadu Government and there is no Revenue Records in his name.

Thereafter, he has approached the respondents in person and enquired regarding the uploading his name and property details in the official site for the aforesaid property but there was no fruitful result has been obtained from the respondents. Even though, the petitioner has got proper Revenue Records to show that he is in possession of the property and Patta has also issued in his favour, but the respondents have not taken any effective steps to upload the petitioner's name with regard to the aforesaid property. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition before this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2021 and dispose of the same within a stipulated time that may be framed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought for in this writ petition before this Court and taking into account the submissions made on either side, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's

representation or the case pleaded by the petitioner in the present writ petition, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2021 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the parties concerned within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
