O R D E R
(Order of the Court was delivered by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The writ of mandamus has been filed to direct the Respondents 1 to 3 to evict the Respondents 6 to 9 from poromboke property in S.No. 96/1 U.Keeranur Village, presently Uundurpettai Taluk, Kallakuruchi District.
2. With reference to the relief sought for in the present writ proceedings, the learned Special Government Pleader, Mr.A.Selvendran would contend that actions will be initiated to issue show cause notice to the encroachers of Poramboke land and water body, and by following the procedures, all such encroachers will be evicted.
3. In view of the said submission, the respondents 1 to 3 are directed to issue show cause notice to the encroachers and on receipt of any objections / explanations, from the encroachers, initiate further action 3/6
to remove the encroachments by following the procedures as contemplated. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
