O R D E R

The Writ petition is filed praying for a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to take appropriate action against the 6th respondent and to dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 29.11.2024, 13.01.2025 and 23.05.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the Ex-member of Panchayat Union, Mettupalayam Vilakudi, Thiruthuraipoondi. There are lot of malpractices took place in the Thiruthuraipoondi Panchayat Union. The 6th respondent without calling for the Tenders ordered 40 High Mass light worth

about Rs.3 lakhs per light, but the original cost is Rs.1,20,000/- only. The 6th respondent was assumed office as Block Development Officer in the year 2021, later he was transferred and again he joined as Block Development Officer in the same Tiruthuraipoondi Panchayat Union in the year 2024. When the petitioner was serving as a Member of the Panchayat Union, Thiruthuraipoondi, he has given representation to the District Collector on 22.11.2024, 29.11.2024, 13.01.2025 and 23.05.2025. So far, no action on the side of the respondents. Hence the petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that there are malpractices in the Thiruthuraipoondi Panchayat Union, for which, one S. Lenin filed a Writ petition in W.P. No.1086 of 2021 and this Court directed to dispose of the representation of the said Lenin within four weeks. Even after the order of this Court, there was no action taken by the respondents. The petitioner has given representations dated 29.11.2024, 13.01.2025 and 23.05.2025 to the respondents 1 to 5, but the petitioner has not received any reply from the respondents. Hence, he prays to allow the present Writ petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 6, submits that representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court.

5. This Court heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

6. Without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to consider the representations of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, by giving due opportunity to the 6th respondent for enquiry, within a period of two (2) weeks thereafter.
