Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant renewal of the lease in respect of the respective Shops in the occupation of the petitioners from the year 2004-2005, onwards at 15 per cent, enhancement of rent for the block period of three years or conduct the public auction -cum-tender in respect of the said right and to forbear the respondent from interfering with the possession and enjoyment of the petitioner's respective shops and from dispossessing them. The prayer, sought for, in the Writ Petition is for renewal of the lease in respect of the Shops, which were in occupation of the petitioners from the year 2004-2005, onwards. The Writ Petition is of the year, 2004, and by this time, the lease period itself would have been expired, as 12 years have been lapsed.
