O R D E R

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 13.05.2025 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 3(2)(a)(b), 4(2)(c), 5(1)(a)(d) of ITP Act, 1956 in Crime No.68 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that, the petitioner along with other accused procured ladies from Puducherry and Tamilnadu areas for the purpose of prostitution at No.316, Srinivasa Apartment, Puducherry and on 13.05.2025 and one Latha from Karur was induced to involve in prostitution at the said premises.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is no way connected to the said allegation and false case has been foisted against the petitioner. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to cooperate with the investigation and she is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police strongly opposed to grant bail to the petitioner, considering the nature of offence.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the serious nature of offence committed by the petitioner, this court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
