..Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records relating to the detention order No.222/BBCDEFGISSSV/2026 dated 09.04.2026 passed by the second respondent and set aside the same and direct the respondent to produce

the body of the detenu Shankar @ Savukku Shankar, S/o.Late.Achimuthu, aged 50 years, now detained in Central Prison-II, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him liberty forthwith.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) What is under challenge in this habeas corpus petition is the detention order No.222/BBCDEFGISSSV/2026 dated 09.04.2026 passed by the second respondent herein.

When the habeas corpus petition was taken up for final disposal, G.O.Rt.No.2977, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 19.05.2026 revoking the detention order has been produced before us. In view of the same, nothing survives for consideration in this habeas corpus petition and the same is closed. Post W.P.CRL.No.1121 of 2026 for hearing on 27.05.2026.
