O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the Respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.05.2023 and to issue patta in respect of the property to an extent of 566 Sq.ft bearing old Door No.7, New Door No.12, situated at Chidambaram Street, Agaram, Chennai - 600 082 in Old Paimash Number 884, for which New Present T.S.No.22, Block No.4, Ayanavaram Village, Perambur Purasawalkam Taluk, Chennai by transferring the patta in favour of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner states that the civil suit has been instituted by him for direction ended in his favour and as a decree holder, he has submitted a representation for grant of patta. Since the Tahsildar has not considered his

representation, the petitioner is constrained to move the present writ petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 3 made a submission that the petitioner in the event of submitting all the relevant documents, the Tahsildar will be in a position to consider the application for grant of patta.

4. The Zonal Officer of the Chennai Corporation in his letter dated 11.05.2015 has changed the name and inserted the name of the writ petitioner in corporation records. Since the Corporation authorities have considered the application and changed the name in the register based on the decree passed by the Civil Court in O.S.No.6558 of 2012 dated 20.02.2014, the Tahsildar is bound to consider the same and on verification of the title documents to be produced by the writ petitioner, appropriate orders are to be passed on the application submitted by the writ petitioner for grant of patta. The said exercise is directed to be done by the Tahsildar within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
