ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the impugned order dated 19.02.2014 passed by the first respondent in and by which, the petitioner was removed from the post of Muthavalli of the Kadamburar Mosque, Thiruvannamalai District.

2. This Court is of the view that the Statutory Authority to redress the grievance of the petitioner is only the Wakf Board under the provisions of the Wakf Act. Accordingly, this writ petition is not maintainable and the same is dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate authority, viz., the Wakf Board, in a manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
