Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for records and quash the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in RO-VLR/344/2025CAMP(A) dated 02.04.2025 and further direct respondents to grant 21 days ordinary leave without escort to the petitioner's son convict Prisoner namely Perumal S/o. Late Suryakandan, PID No.318991 now confine in 3rd respondent Prison, for the purpose of "to making arrangements of higher education of his children" in pursuant to Petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2025.

ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY, J.,] The petitioner, who is the mother of the convict, seeks ordinary leave for 21 days without escort for her son, convict prisoner namely, Perumal, who is in Central Prison, Cuddalore. By order dated 02.04.2025, the second respondent granted 21 days ordinary leave with escort. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not in a position to bear the expenses for the escort. Page Nos.2/4

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has no serious objection to modify the order dated 02.04.2025 subject to the condition that the convict shall appear before the Cuddalore Old Town Police Station daily. 4.
Accordingly, order dated 02.04.2025 is modified by directing that the petitioner's son namely, Perumal S/o. Late Suryakandan, PID No.318991, who is confined at Central Prison, Cuddalore, be granted 21 days ordinary leave without escort subject to the condition that he appears before the Cuddalore Old Town Police Station daily. The convict shall be released by 10.00 a.m. on 02.06.2025 and shall return to the Central Prison, Cuddalore, on 22.06.2025 before 5.00 p.m. All other terms and conditions imposed by order dated 02.04.2025 shall continue to operate.
