ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to consider petitioner representation dated 23.03.2026 to de-freeze her bank Account Axis Bank, Tiruvottiyur Branch, A/c No.922020026732375 within stipulate time in due process of law.

It is seen that pursuant to the registration of FIR in crime No.46 of 2024 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 272, 273, 328 of IPC and Section 6a, 24(1) of COTPA and Sections 7 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Smoking & Spitting Act and Section 77 of Juvenile Justice(Care and Protection of Children) Act. The petitioner and her husband are jointly holding account A/c No.922020026732375. The entire crime proceeds were deposited in the said account and as such on the request made by the second respondent, the third respondent froze the bank account of the petitioner and the petitioner is not permitted to operate her account. Admittedly, the petitioner and her husband are holding the said bank account jointly. Now investigation is pending till today in crime No.46 of 2024. Therefore, pending investigation, direction to de-freeze the aforementioned bank account cannot be considered. As such, this writ petition is liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. However, the second respondent is directed to file final report in crime No.46 of 2024 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
