Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.03.2015 preferred to them, seeking retention in the respondent's office in the post of Upper Division Clerk,on the basis of the standing orders of the respondent and petitioner's eligibility and to pass orders thereon in accordance with the same, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court. Heard Mr.C.K.Chandrasekkar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.P.Manoharan, learned counsel on behalf of the respondent.

2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal during the time of admission.

3. The petitioner was initially appointed as Peon by proceedings dated 01.07.2004. Subsequently, he was posted as Junior Operator. The petitioner has been functioning as Junior Operator till 02.08.2011. The petitioner was transferred to the establishment section to handle regular establishment works. The petitioner was promoted as Senior Operator and he continued to work in the establishment section. According to the petitioner, he is now made to work as Peon by transferring him to another section. The petitioner submitted a representation on 09.03.2015, requesting the respondent to retain him in the present position. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The present request is to direct the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation on merits.

3. The respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 09.03.2015 submitted by the petitioner on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
