Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose the Memorandum of Appeal dated 20th April 2019 preferred by the petitioner against impugned order passed in Mu.Mu.468/2013/A dated 13.03.2014 on the file of 3rd respondent.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose the appeal dated 20th April 2019 preferred by the petitioner against impugned order dated 13.03.2014 passed by the 3rd respondent.

2. Mr. J.R.K. Bhavanantham, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has preferred the appeal on 20.04.2019, the 2nd respondent has not disposed of the same yet.

3. Mr. M. Manigopi, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 20.04.2019 preferred by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, after giving opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
