For Petitioners : Mr.C.Chandrasekaran for M/s.Law Square For Respondents : Mr.S.Thangavel Special Government Pleader COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed, for a direction to the respondents 3 and 4 to forward the proposals seeking regularisation of the petitioners' services to the first respondent.
2.The case of the petitioners is that they joined in the respondent department in 1996, 1995 and 1995 respectively and served more than 10 years as daily wage workers. However, the respondent department has not sent proposals for regularization of the petitioners' services to the Government. Though the petitioners made repeated representations to the respondents in this regard, one such representation is dated 31.07.2014, the same were not considered till date. Hence, these writ petitions. 3.Denying the claim of the petitioners, the respondents filed separate counter affidavits in these writ petitions. 4.Today, when the matters were taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that it would suffice, if the petitioners' representations dated 31.07.2014 are directed to be considered by the respondent authorities, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, for which, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents have no serious objection.
5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions now made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 31.07.2014, if not already considered and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.These Writ Petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
