ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct first respondent to conduct the enquiry initiated by the second respondent by his charges Memo Na.Ka.No.234/2020[2] Peeru.2, dated 11.12.2020, under Rule 17[b] of the Tamilnadu Civil Services [Discipline and Appeal] Rules and complete the enquiry within a stipulated time.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite charge has been framed under section 17[b] of the Tamil Nadu Civil Service [Disciplinary and Appeal Rules] and filing his additional objections before the enquiry officer on 15.12.2022, there is no further progress in the enquiry. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to complete the enquiry.

3. Heard Mr.P.Thiagarajan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the submissions on either side, the first respondent is directed to complete the enquiry in the disciplinary proceedings and pass Order on its own merits within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 03.07.2023 Index:Yes/No vrc 3/5
