This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent police to grant police protection to the petitioner. 1/4
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the first respondent.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, an enquiry was conducted and it was closed on 13.04.2023.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the second respondent is none other than the son of the petitioner and that there is a continuous threat exerted on the petitioner. One such incident happened even today morning and hence, the petitioner requires police protection.
5. The first respondent shall call the parties for an enquiry. The first respondent shall get an undertaking from the second respondent that he will not cause any threat or nuisance to the petitioner. If the second respondent goes against his undertaking, it is left open to the first respondent to take action in accordance with law.
