The petitioner seeks a Mandamus forbearing the Corporation from evicting the petitioner from his shop at No.12A, Usman Khan Street, Chintadripet, Chennai-2 without following due process of law.

2.The matter had come up on 25.08.2014, when Notice of Motion returnable by two weeks was ordered. It is come up thereafter only today.

3.Neither the petitioner nor the respondent have any instructions in the matter. In any event, there is no interim protection for the last eight (8) years, when the writ petition has been pending. Thus, it is suspect as to whether anything survives in the matter as on date, particularly since, the prayer of the petitioner is only to ensure that no action is taken from evicting him without following the due process of law and evidently no such action, as apprehended has taken place till date.

4.With this, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
