Crl.O.P.No.15217 of 2024 T.V.THAMILSELVI, J.

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 22.05.2024 in Crime No.285 of 2024, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 324, 307, 506(ii) of IPC, seeks bail.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and due to previous enmity, he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the coaccused in this case has been released on bail. He further submitted that the petitioner is suffering incarceration from 22.05.2024 and he is ready to abide any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police raised objection for granting bail to the petitioner stating that there are totally three accused in this case and the petitioner is ranked as A2. He further submitted that, due to previous enmity, this petitioner along with other accused have went to the defacto complainant's house, abused him with filthy language, assaulted with T.V.THAMILSELVI, J.

drl knife and thereby caused injuries and threatened him. He further submitted that the petitioner is the notorious accused, involved in six previous cases pending against him. He further submitted that the injured has been discharged from the hospital. Hence, he prayed for dismissal of the bail petition.

4. Considering the gravity of the offence and bad antecedents of the petitioner and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
