Writ Petition(Crl.) filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the 2nd Respondent to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members, by considering his Representation dated 02-05-2026.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed praying for direction to the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on the complaint dated 02.05.2026 2.
On perusal of the records, it is revealed that the petitioner and the third respondent are cousin brother whereas civil disputes are pending between them in respect of their family property. Civil cases are also pending. There are cases registered against both the petitioner as well as the third respondent. That apart, the third respondent obtained interim injunction against the petitioner in respect of the third respondent's share. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the third respondent trespassed the petitioner's property and damaged some of the articles of the petitioner.

In view of the above, since there is civil dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent, police protection cannot be granted on the request made by the petitioner. However, the second respondent is
directed to complete the investigation and file final report in crime Nos.160 and 161 of 2026 before the jurisdictional magistrate within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 4.
With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
