O R D E R

This Contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondent herein for having willfully disobeyed the order of this Court dated 20.12.2023 made in W.P.No.18907 of 2019.

2. While allowing the said writ petition, this Court directed the second respondent therein to re-do the entire process of selecting candidates pursuant to the award of additional six marks to the respective candidates on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

3. During the course of hearing, learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that in compliance of the order of this Court, the Teachers Recruitment Board had completed the re-do process by awarding additional marks. The total marks of the petitioner after the re-do process of her OMR sheet is 71 marks. Consequently, the candidates who have reached the minimum eligible marks for written examination were called for certificate Page No.2 of 5

verification on 17.10.2024. The writ petitioner had requested further time up to 25.10.2024 for producing additional/corrected documents and the Board has also granted time to submit the same.

4. Accordingly, the learned counsel submits that since the process of selection has been initiated by awarding 71 marks to the petitioner after re-do process, the order of this Court is complied with and sought to dismiss this contempt petition.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the petitioner was awarded 71 marks after re-do process as directed by this Court and the selection process also initiated, in our considered view, it is not warranted to continue this contempt proceedings against the respondent.
