Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to consider his application dated 13.10.2014 for issuance of patta bearing plot No.MIG - 199 comprised in Survey Numbers 4/5 Part and 7/3 Part measuring an extent of 1938 sq.ft in Chittalapakkam Village formerly Tambaram Taluk, presently Solinganallur Taluk in Kancheepuram District.

Heard Mr.S.Udaya Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and with their consent, the writ petition is taken for disposal at the admission stage.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent to consider his application dated 13.10.2014 for issuance of patta in respect of plot No.MIG - 199.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the application itself was made only during October 2014 and sufficient time has to be granted to the respondent to consider the application on merits.

4. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the contentions raised by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 13.10.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
