This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to entertain and dispose of the statutory appeal preferred by the second petitioner under Section 36-C of the Tamil Nadu Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1959 dated 16.12.2024 on merits, notwithstanding the limitation/delay, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court
2. In view of the limited relief sought for in the Writ Petition, the learned counsel for the petitioners prayed that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the statutory appeal filed by the petitioners dated 16.12.2024, on merits and pass orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents did not object to the said submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent, to dispose of the statutory appeal filed by the petitioners dated 16.12.2024, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
