ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 26.10.2014 made by the petitioner's mother seeking appointment to the petitioner on compassionate ground, within a time frame.
2.
According to the Petitioner, his father was appointed as Armed Guard and posted in the 2nd respondent Bank on 01.01.1987. While in service, his father expired on 26.06.2000 due to illness, leaving behind his mother, three daughters and two sons including the petitioner. Subsequently, his mother applied to the Respondents on 06.04.2001 seeking appointment to the petitioner on compassionate grounds. In spite of several reminders sent, which were acknowledged by the respondents as well as the application made under Right to Information Act, no steps were taken by 2/5
the respondents, till date. Therefore, the Petitioner's mother submitted a representation dated 26.10.2014 to the Respondents. As no orders were passed on the said representation, the Petitioner is before this Court seeking the aforesaid relief.
3. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner, during the course of arguments submitted that, it would suffice, if the representation already submitted by the petitioner is directed to be disposed of by the respondents, within a time frame.
4. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection in granting such relief to the petitioner.
5. In view of the limited relief sought for by the Petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the petitioner to send a copy of the representation dated 26.10.2014 along with a copy of this order to the respondents, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the said representation, the 3/5
respondents are directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks. With the aforesaid directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
