ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to select the petitioner under BCM quota for the post of Block Resource Teacher Educators.

The petitioner is qualified with degree of Bachelor of Computer Applications from the University of Madras and he also completed his B.Ed degree in the month of May, 2012. Thereafter, he cleared Teachers Eligibility Test and qualified to be appointed as Teacher. While being so, the first respondent issued notification No.3 of 2023 dated 25.10.2023, thereby invited applications for direct recruitment to the post of Graduate Teachers / Block Resource Teacher Educators in School Education and other departments. The petitioner submitted application for the post of Graduate Teacher (Social ScienceHistory). In the written examination, the petitioner was qualified for 2/4

certificate verification. The petitioner was present along with all original certificates for certificate verification. After verifying the certificates, it was found that the petitioner is not an eligible person for the post of Graduate Teacher (Social Science-History).

Admittedly, the petitioner completed degree in Bachelor of Computer Applications. That apart, the said degree is not equivalent for the post of Graduate Teacher (Social Science-History). Therefore, the direction sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered. As such this writ petition is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
