Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to pass an order on the petitioner's complaint dated 26.2.2013, in Na.Ka.No.3466/2013/C within a time limit. For Petitioner :

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner is the father of the second respondent and he filed a petition against him under Section 23 read with Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents Senior Citizen Act, 2007, before the first respondent, praying for action in terms of the said provision and though the first respondent has issued a notice to the second respondent calling upon his appearance along with necessary documents on 24.3.2014, nothing had happened so far and therefore, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition praying for early disposal of the said proceedings. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.A.Veerappa, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.M.Digvijaya Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent. 4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, and without going into the merits of the petition, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's complaint dated 26.2.2013, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner as well as to the second respondent. The writ petition accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
