ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY, J.,] By this writ petition, the petitioner, who is the daughter of the convict detained at Central Prison, Cuddalore, seeks the grant of 30 days leave for the convict.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has written the NEET examination and that unless her father is granted leave, it could not be possible to make arrangements for payment of fees. He Page Nos.2/6
also refers to the earlier order dated 25.10.2024 granting ordinary leave for a period of 21 days.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the representation dated 16.05.2025 would be considered and disposed of within a reasonable period.

In the affidavit, it is stated that the petitioner is required to pay fees for MDS-Ortho and school fees for her younger brother on or before 04.06.2025. The documents on record also disclose that the convict complied with the terms and conditions when ordinary leave was granted previously under orders of this Court.

Considering the aforesaid, the following order is issued: (i) Respondents are directed to release the convict prisoner namely, R.Palanisamy, S/o. Rajan, Life Convict No.16133 now confined at Central Prison, Cuddalore on ordinary leave without escort from 30.05.2025 to 14.06.2025.

(ii) The convict prisoner shall be released on 30.05.2025 at 10.00 a.m. and surrender before the Central Prison, Cuddalore, on 14.06.2025 at 5.00 p.m.
(iii) The convict prisoner is directed to report before the Inspector of Police, Tadagam Police Station, Coimbatore District, twice in a week, i.e. on Monday and Friday at 10.30 a.m., during the period of leave. (iv) The convict prisoner shall utilize the leave only for the ground on which it has been granted and shall not indulge in any other activities.
