Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 and 4 to appoint the petitioner as Junior Clerk in the 6th respondent Society on compassionate grounds as recommended by the third respondent to the 2nd respondent vide letters dated 24.06.2013, 30.09.2013 and 02.08.2014 or in any other Society against clear vacant post on considering the educational qualification of the petitioner.

The petitioner's father was working as a Secretary in the 5th respondent Society. He died in harness on 22.09.2007. In the typed set of papers, the petitioner has enclosed the proceedings dated 24.06.2013, 30.09.2013 and 02.08.2013 of the Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Namakkal, who is the third respondent, wherein and by which, it was informed that the case of petitioner was recommended to the 2nd respondent for approval to appoint him in the available vacancy in the 6th respondent Society.
2. Though the prayer made in the writ petition is to direct respondents 3 and 4 to appoint the petitioner as Junior Clerk in the 6th respondent Society, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied in case a direction is issued to the third respondent to pass orders on the letter dated 28.10.2014 issued by the second respondent, directing the third respondent to appoint the petitioner by following the guidelines, within a time frame.
3. The third respondent is directed to take a decision to appoint the petitioner against any vacancy in the 6th respondent Society or any other society in the light of the letter dated 28.10.2014 of the 2nd respondent and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
