The petitioner is the legal heir of Thiru.K.Subramani, who was employed in the respondent's office. The father of the petitioner died on 09.04.2003 while in service. The petitioner submitted an application for compassionate appointment as early as on 07.12.2005. According to the petitioner, he was asked to produce certain certificates by the respondent. The petitioner appears to have produced the certificates for verification. Since no follow up action was taken by the respondent, the petitioner once again submitted a representation on 21.01.2015 to consider his case for compassionate appointment. The respondent has issued a letter dated 29.01.2015 that he is under wait list. The petitioner now seeks a direction to the respondent to consider and dispose of the representations on merits.

2. The respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representations submitted by the petitioner dated 07.12.2005 and 21.01.2015 seeking compassionate appointment, on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
