The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 331(4) and 305(a) of BNS, in Crime No.222 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, along with the other accused, trespassed into the de facto complainant's house and robbed Rs.85,000/- cash, 13 sovereigns of gold jewels and 923 grams of silver. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case. He would submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police opposed the anticipatory bail on the ground that there are 11 previous cases pending against the petitioner.

Taking into consideration of totality of the circumstances and the fact that previous criminal antecedents pending against the petitioner, and that the stolen articles are yet to be recovered, this Court is of the firm view that the petitioner does not deserve the relief of anticipatory bail. 2/4
