This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 20.03.2017 made by the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner Trust on 20.03.2017 and seeking for patta for all those families, who are in possession in the Government Poramboke land for a long period of time.

2.Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the second respondent has already fixed a date for preliminary enquiry on 24.11.2020 at 4.00 p.m. The learned counsel submitted that the petitioner Trust and those persons who are claiming the patta can be present at the time of enquiry along with all the relevant documents. The learned Special Government Pleader further submitted that the second respondent will submit a report before the first respondent and thereafter, the first respondent will pass orders strictly in accordance with law.

3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the second respondent has already called the parties for enquiry, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to conduct the enquiry and submit the report before the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent, on receipt of the report from the second respondent, shall pass final orders strictly in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.

4.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
