By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the Canals / water bodies intended for supply of water to agricultural operations, has not been properly maintained and
as a consequence, the petitioner is unable to cultivate his 3 1⁄2 acres of land, situated in Vadasankethi Zone, Thiruthuraipoondi Taluk, Tiruvarur District and so also, the other agriculturists who are having lands and in this regard, the petitioner has approached this Court on an earlier occasion by filing WP.No.421/2015 and it was disposed of by permitting the petitioner to submit a representation to the respondents therein and accordingly, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 16.02.2016 to the respondents and though the representation was received and acknowledged, no response is forthcoming and hence, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by filing the present writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 3rd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/representation dated 16.02.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner .
5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
