The present writ petition has been filed to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 19.07.2022 to provide admission for freedom fighter great grandchild S.D.Mithul Adhith to the 1st standard in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Anna Nagar, Chennai - 40.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that his grant father namely S.Vadivel was a freedom fighter and member of Indian National Army under the leadership of the Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose. He further submits that the petitioner's grand father was receiving freedom fighter pension. It is the further submission of the petitioner that there is a 2/5

quota for freedom fighter in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for admission. Therefore, the petitioner's father has sent a representation on 19.07.2022 seeking admission of the petitioner's daughter S.D.Mithul Adhith to the 1st standard vide representation dated 19.07.2022.

The submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner was strongly objected by the learned counsel for the respondents 2 to 4 and would submit that there is no quota for admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Anna Nagar, Chennai - 40, under the freedom fighter quota. However, the learned counsel for the respondents 2 to 4 would submit that if any fresh representation is received from the petitioner, they will consider the same according to its own merits and in accordance with law.

In view of the fair submission, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the petitioner to give a fresh representation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any such representation is received, the respondents are directed to consider the same and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter. 3/5
