Ms.No.220, Public Works (N1) Department dated 21.09.2020 and a gazette notification issued in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extradinary No.396 dated 24.09.2020 both on the file of the first respondent and the subsequent notice issued in Na.Ka.No.2203/2019/Vu dated 15.10.2020 on the file of the third respondent quash the same in so far as the S.Nos.15/1A, 15/1B, 15/5, 15/7A, 15/2, 15/4A and 15/6 of Periyeripatti Village and 14/10C, 16/1C of Vedapatti Village, Omalur Taluk are concerned. Mr.T.K.Saravanan, AGP COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed against the G.O.Ms.No.220, Public Works (N1) Department dated 21.9.2020 and a gazette notification dated 24.9.2020.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondents, vide impugned GO, had acquired the petitioner's land in Vedapatti and Periyeripatti villages. Aggrieved over the said acquisition, the present petitions were filed by the petitioner.

3. In reply, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the acquisition proceedings, which was initiated vide the aforesaid impugned GO, was already dropped by the respondents and hence, nothing survives in these petitions. Therefore, he prays for dismissal of these petitions.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record.

5. In the case on hand, today, it was submitted by the respondent that the acquisition proceedings, which was initiated vide the aforesaid impugned GO(Ms)No.220 dated 21.09.2020, was already dropped by the respondents. When such being the case, it is clear that nothing survives in this petition.

6. Therefore, by recording the above submission made by the respondents, these writ petitions are dismissed as infructuous. No cost. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed. 05-03-2026 nsa Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes
