The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 324, 506(2) of IPC, in Crime No.190 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that petitioner herein along with other accused person had abused the de-facto complainant and his friend in filthy language and also assaulted and threatened them with dire consequences. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and no way connected with the alleged offence. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner and other accused persons attacked the de-facto complainant causing injuries and the injured has been discharged from the hospital on 26.06.2022. He further submitted that there are seven previous cases pending against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the

petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the allegations and also the bad antecedent of the petitioner and that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is essential, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 26.07.2022 mpl
