Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 6 to forbear/ restrain the respondents 7 to 12 from conducting Maha Kumbabhishegam scheduled on 05.06.2025 in the disputed Temple namely Sri Periyakandiamman Temple, Sri Pudavaikariamman and Sri Karuppayeemman Deities and other deities situated in Survey No.525/3 (Old Survey No.143A/1A1A1) at Mohanur Village, Namakkal District in order to maintain law and order in the above Village and ensure public peace and tranquillity in the locality.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- " To direct the respondents 1 to 6 to forbear/ restrain the respondents 7 to 12 from conducting Maha Kumbabhishegam scheduled on 05.06.2025 in the disputed Temple namely Sri Periyakandiamman Temple, Sri Pudavaikariamman and Sri Karuppayeemman Deities and other deities situated in Survey No.525/3 (Old Survey No.143A/1A1A1) at Mohanur Village, Namakkal District in order to maintain law and order in the above Village and ensure public peace and tranquillity in the locality."

2. Heard Mr.D.Shanmugaraja Sethupathi, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.R.Kishore Kumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 4 to 6.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 has submitted that the 3rd respondent viz., the Tahlildar has called upon both the parties to conduct a Peace Committee meeting, in order to conduct the festival as well as the Kumbabhishegam. He would also further submit that the meeting is scheduled to be held on 30.05.2025.
4. In view of the same, this Court directs the petitioner and the respondents 7 to 12 to participate in the Peace Committee meeting which is to be held on 30.05.2025 and based on the outcome of the Peace Committee meeting the festival and the Kumbabhishegam is ordered to be conducted.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 29.05.2025 dsa Note:- Issue order copy by 30.05.2025.
