ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 03.06.2024 and issue the nativity / residence certificate within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a permanent resident of Puducherry by birth, through her parents and ancestry. She was born on 26.07.2006 at Government Maternity Hospital, Puducherry and had received Birth Certificate No.PM14934040422M, issued by the Pondicherry Municipality. Due to her father's job and his frequent transfer, she did her schooling at various parts of India and that she is having her permanent address at Pondicherry till date. The petitioner intend to pursue higher education in Puducherry and it is mandatory to submit a nativity / residence certificate, along with Nationality, Caste (OBC) and Telugu Speaking 2/4

Minority Certificates to the concerned Educational Authorities at Puducherry. The petitioner has given a representation dated 03.06.2024 to the 2nd respondent for issuance of nativity / residence certificate to her, however, the same was not considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

4. Considering the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the third respondent to consider the representation dated 03.06.2024 of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
