This writ petition has been filed challenging the auction notice dated 20.05.2025 and consequently, seeks a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioners and take a decision within the time frame fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioners have broadly taken three grounds while questioning the auction notice. The first ground is that the auction is conducted online. The second ground is that 18% GST is being collected on the auctioned amount. The third ground is that the earnest money deposit payable by the persons participating in the auction is not mentioned in the auction notice and the portal does not provide Tamil as 2/4
a language.
3. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the third respondent temple submitted that the petitioners 2 and 3 have already submitted their application for participating in the public auction and that the auction is going to be conducted on 04.06.2025.
4. It is not necessary for this Court to go into the grounds raised in the writ petition since petitioners 2 and 3 have already submitted their application for participating in the public auction. Hence, let the auction be conducted in accordance with law.
