Mandamus calling for the records available with the Managing Director, TNHB, Chennai 600 035 in his order No.XJf;fPL I(4) _/4140/03 dated 31.01.2003, 2nd respondent herein, quash the same and direct the respondents to handover the house site bearing no.DE.287, in Survey No.47/2 situated at Padi Village, Ambattur Taluk, Thiruvallur District which was illegally and forcefully dispossessed from my lawful possession and enjoyment for a period of more than 16 years.

The petitioner was issued notice pursuant to the order dated 08.06.2018 passed by this court to appear for the hearing on 25.06.2018, but the same has been returned as unserved with the postal endorsement 'no such person'. There is no representation for the petitioner when the matter is called today. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending, when the petitioner does not appear to be interested in pursuing the matter. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents is present.

2.Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution leaving it open to the petitioner to apply for revival of the writ petition in accordance with law. No costs.
