The petition seeking extension of time to comply the order passed by this Court on 26.02.2024 in connection with appeal pending against judgment of conviction in the cheque bounce case.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that due to some financial difficulty, the petitioner was not able to draw demand draft for Rs.1,65,000/- within the extended time of two weeks, but she has drawn DD for the said sum on 11.07.2024 to show her bonafide and seeks for extension of time.

The original demand draft also produced before this Court for perusal. This Court being satisfied that the delay in complying the condition imposed by this Court was due to reasons stated in the petition and now the petitioner has drawn demand draft for 10% of the compensation amount, hence time is extended. The petitioner shall produce the demand draft before the Judicial Magistrate within one week from today and seek suspension of sentence.
