This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in CC No. 223 of 2022 on the file of the Pricipal Special court EC and NDPS Cases, Chennai.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the respondent found the accused person with illegal possession of 99 grams of methaphetamine. Hence, the case.
3.Heard both sides.
4. Considering the fact that the contraband seized from the petitioner is commercial quantity and also co-accused is still absconding. Hence, this Court is not inclined to allow this petition. Further, the Trial Court is directed to complete the Trial within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the petitioner failed to engage the counsel, the Trial court can conduct the trial by engaging counsel through legal aid.
