This writ petition is listed today under the caption ''For Appearance''.
2. This Court while disposing of the present writ petition on 03.06.2025 directed the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore District, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore District and the Inspector of Police, Ramanatham Police Station, Cuddalore District to appear before this Court on 04.06.2025 at 10.30 a.m., since the impugned reply of the Sub-Inspector of Police of the second respondent Police Station, is without any authority. Admittedly, the petitioner had given representations to respondents 1 and 2 seeking permission to conduct cultural programme in the event of 'Arulmighu Mariyamman Thirukovil'' at Pattakurichi Village, scheduled to be held on 05.06.2025 from 6 p.m., to 11 p.m. However, neither the first respondent nor the second respondent passed any order, instead, the Sub-Inspector of Police of the second respondent/Police Station, who has no authority, has passed the 2/5
order, which is not a speaking order.
3. As per direction of this Court dated 03.06.2025, Mr.S.Jeyakumar, Superintendent of Police Cuddalore District, Mr.R.Mohan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thittagudy Sub-Division, Cuddalore District, Ms.M.Brindha, Inspector of Police and Mr.K.Ravichandiran, Sub Inspector of Police, Ramanatham Police Station, Ramanatham, Cuddalore District have appeared before this Court today and tendered unconditional apology and this Court also advised them not to repeat the same mistake in future. The personal appearance of the above Police officials is dispensed with.
4. In view of the same, no further orders are necessary in this Writ Petition.
