Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the 2nd respondent in NA.KA.No.1295/A/08-1, dated 22.05.2008, and quash the entire proceedings thereon and consequently direct the 1st and 2nd Respondent to appoint the Petitioner as leading fireman with retrospective effect from 22.05.2008 and duly paying all his back-wages, seniority and attendant benefits thereon.

This Writ Petition has been filed, to call for the records of the 2nd respondent in NA.KA.No.1295/A/08-1, dated 22.05.2008, and to quash the entire proceedings thereon and consequently to direct the 1st and 2nd Respondents to appoint the Petitioner as leading fireman with retrospective effect from 22.05.2008 and duly paying all his back-wages, seniority and attendant benefits thereon.

2. On 27.07.2018, when the Writ Petition was taken up for hearing, there was no representation for the petitioner in the morning, hence, the matter was passed over to 2.15 pm in the afternoon. Even at 2.15 pm, there was no representation for the petitioner, hence, the Registry was directed to list the matter under the caption "For Dismissal" on 30.07.2018. Accordingly, the matter is listed today i.e. on 30.07.2018 under the said caption. Even today, when the matter is called, there is no representation for the petitioner in the morning as well as in the afternoon. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non prosecution. No costs.
