Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the properties of the petitioner in O.S.Nos.385, 444, 475 totally admeasuring Hectares 1 Ares 55 Centiares 45, situate at Mel Annavasal Village, Nedungadu Commune, Karaikal from the 'Zero' Valuation list and land ceiling proceedings and consequently direct the respondents to furnish the guideline value and register all documents by the petitioner in respect of the said lands.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that during the pendancy of this petition, the petitioner has died and has also made an endorsement to that effect in the petition.

2.In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as abated. However, liberty is granted to the legal heirs of the petitioner to work out the remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
